As your local Church of England parish church, St Andrew's is the first choice for many people for baptisms, weddings or funerals. We will be very pleased to share with you in these times of joy and of sorrow.
Baptism and Confirmation
Baptism and confirmation are important points in the life of a Christian, as he or she accepts God's loving grace and makes a commitment to follow in the way of Jesus Christ.
There is a lot of very useful information on the Church of England website which describes both the spiritual and practical aspects of both events.
Baptisms at St Andrew's usually take place on Sundays at 12.00 noon, typically on the 4th Sunday of the month. Alternatively you may have your child baptised during a Parish Communion service at 10.00 am on Sunday morning.
For details of baptisms at St Andrew's, please contact the Parish Secretary.
Confirmation usually takes place on or close to St Andrew's Day (30th November) and confirmation courses are run each year for both adults and young people to prepare them for this important act of commitment.
For details of confirmation courses at St Andrew's, please contact the Vicar.
Note that St Andrew's does support children receiving Communion before confirmation by agreement with the Vicar. See 'Taking Communion' on the Worship page and speak to the Vicar for further details.
Weddings have been taking place at St Andrew's church in Biggleswade for many hundreds of years. In marrying at St Andrew's you are not only following a tradition that has lasted for many centuries but more importantly you are coming before God to make your commitment to one another, and to receive God's blessing on your future life together.
The Church of England website has much useful information about the spiritual and practical aspects of the wedding service.

While a funeral is clearly a time of sorrow and grief, it can also be a time of celebration and thanksgiving for a life shared with friends and family.
Once again, there is a lot of very useful information on the Church of England website which you might find helpful.
