St Andrew's church, like all Christian groups and all Christian people is led by the mission given to the disciples by Jesus, after his resurrection:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you."
(Matthew 28:19-20)
The church's role is therefore to nurture and support existing Christians and to bring new people to a loving relationship with God. It is this mission that ultimately lies behind all that we do at St Andrew's - our worship, our youth groups and holiday club, our adult groups and all the special events that take place.
